Amanda loves color [1, 2]. Color is important for a whole lot of reasons. Take therapy, for instance. Color can be very therapeutic. In recent months, I have learned about the many ways color can benefit my health. In general, I just like it. But that's not really enough. You should like it too. Color can be used to differentiate items on a single page, such as hypertext links. It can also be used to elicit emotion (blue = cool, red = hot) or similarly, to draw associations (on the weather map: blue = cool, red = hot). Amanda uses it very nicely to make her web pages less boring. And sometimes just for beauty, perhaps creating contrast between information and aesthetic image. It's lovely. I say: Use it a lot - but not too much. |
